POP- Britney Spears- Outrageous
Outrageous was written by American R&B singer R. Kelly. Lyrically the song is mainly about fame, paparazzi being on tour and the media. The song is written in the key of D-major and has 105 beats per minute.
Outrageous received generally positive reviews from music critics. David Browne from Entertainment weekly referred to the song as a, " little more than wobbly, rhythm based contraptions intended to advance Spears' sex- princess- on -the- loose image."
Pop music is mainly very light hearted and very up beat. Throughout the course of Outrageous Britney constantly makes reference to being famous and uses Snoop Dogg at the beginning so that her video appeals to young ladies that think Snoop Dogg is bloody hot, that way it not only appeals to men as Britney spears is depicted as the most influential pop princess of the 21st century.
The pop genre is very light hearted and up beat this is very good for when you are feeling low or if you feel that you can use this type of music for a dance workout to keep fit. This genre works on many different levels.
Pop music is a genre that was developed in the mid 1950's as a milder alternative to rock n roll and now rock music.
